A succession of breaks were consistently brought back to the peleton and allowed Team Sky the opportunity to control the final lap.
A well organised lead out from teammates Gerrans, Hayman and Henderson saw Sutton well placed for the final sprint to overcome Drapac's Tom Palmer and seal the overall series victory.

The beginning of the season for the Footon-Servetto-Fuji is very encouraging one, the Pro Tour team equipped with the SMP Saddles participates again in the competitions on the roads of Benelux during this weekend. Daniele Nardello will lead the expedition for the Ronde van het Groene Hart (1.1) 207 km from Pijnacker till Zoetermeer scheduled in Holland on Sunday, March 21st.
