In the wake of Eurobike OZ 499

Testimony of the cutting-edge technology and world-class design which mark a turning point in the way we conceive and experience cycling.

It is not just a sport, not just a competition:

OZ499 is the result of a project which brought together a craftsman from the Vicenza area, Simone Carlesso, and OZ Racing, one of the leading manufacturers of car wheel rims. This partnership, which spanned a year of research and trials aimed at providing athletes and cycling enthusiasts with an exclusive product boasting unique technical features, resulted in the creation of a wheel which has already become a design icon.

OZ499 wheels have been one of the most applauded testimonials of "Made in Italy" at Eurobike, the main international event on novelties in the field of two-wheelers.

Assembled on one of the frames of the new Passoni collection, OZ499 has attracted the interest of over 3,000 visitors. They include sportspeople, big buyers and distributors who during the 4-day event in Germany have crowded the Passoni stand where OZ499 was displayed.

The creator of OZ499 the Vicentine handicraftsman Simone Carlesso, whose atelier-workshop in Bassano is a point of reference for some of the most famous names in Italian cycling:

“OZ499 confirms the extraordinary potential of the Italian handicraft investing in creativity and innovation”.

Even Mario Cipollini, one of the first to have a pair of OZ499 wheels, took a stand in favour of such statement. “Simply wonderful” stated the multiple prize-winning Italian champion visiting the Passoni stand at Eurobike.

The heads of Passoni and Carlesso were there to welcome him and shake his hand under the all-Italian banner of great sport.
