Liz started cycling in 2002 when selected for a Talent ID Track Sprint program conducted by the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) and transferred from rowing to track cycling. Competing in sprint events under the NSW Institute of Sport it was in 2006 that Liz moved to Adelaide to train with the AIS sprint team and national coach and continued her winning form with multiple state and national titles.
In 2008 she decided to concentrate on track endurance events and has since won the Oceania Scratch race and placed 3rd in the Australian National titles. She is also the reigning NSW and SA State Omnium champion and has raced for the Honda Dream Team. Currently she is riding for Virgin Blue RBS Morgans.
