Arriving onto the international scene in 2007 after winning the U23 World Championship in Stuttgart, Peter, along with twin brother Martin are now racing for Team HTC Columbia.

Peter has been adding to his Palmeres over the last couple of years, since starting his pro career with Continental Team Konica Minolta in 2005-2006 where he took a number of wins, including the Slovakian U23 time trial title. Moving to Professional Continental team Wiesenhof-Felt in 2007 he won the Grand Prix de Fourmies, before going on to win the U23 Worlds title in Stuttgart.

Peter's first ProTour contract came in 2008 with Team Milram but in 2009 both Peter and Martin moved to the US backed HTC Columbia for the 2010 Season.
