The FOOTON-SERVETTO-FUJI professional cycling team marks the second year in GM Bikes SA's deveopment project, starting in November 2008 with the inscription of the Fuji-Servetto team at the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The society holds one of the 17 licenses giving the right to be part of the UCI ProTour, the highest category in world cycling, made up with the biggest teams in the international scene.
The new project's sporting staff made a clear choice for youth in 2010 with twenty newcomers out of 24 riders from eight different nationalities make this team the youngest ever in six seasons of the UCI ProTour up to date, with an average age of 24.4 years old. The Gold Generation has already shown its strength from Stage wins in the Tour Down Under and the Tour De San Luis to an outright GC victory in the Circuit de Lorraine and with the Tour De France still to come.
